This winter - Otzar HaHochma launched version 8.0!!!

Otzar HaHochma continuously expands her library. Our vision is to encompass all Judaic books available. Furthermore, our IT professionals refine the program and our search engine all the time.

The online versions are updated automatically.

The updates for the hard-ware version (external hard-drive) need to be purchased separately.

Update 8.0 contains both new features and additional titles.

Program features and improvements in version 8.0 include:

Hyper-linking: This aid is based on state-of-the-art technology which enables researchers to locate references accurately and speedily.

A program for deciphering books in Rashi script: After selecting the passage, the user presses a key, and the text is transformed from Rashi script into regular script.

Use of Tabs (linguistic cards): This feature lists the titles and results of the searches performed by the user. The results are displayed on the screen and can be browsed by clicking a button.

New titles in version 8.0:

The new version includes more than 6,000 new Judaic titles. They are divided in the following manner:

The main software package contains 5,430 important books.

Part two includes 400 books of the Ahavat Shalom package, most of which are being published for the first time from manuscripts or precise editions of well-known and important books.

Machon Yerushalayim titles – Customers who have purchased the Machon Yerushalaim package in the previous update will receive 40 new titles free of charge. (including 22 volumes of Maharal of Prague and the Responsa of the Rif) These titles are available exclusively with a purchase of the Machon Yerushalaim package.

Chabad Library - 130 new titles will be available free of charge to anyone who has purchased the Chabad package.

Before sending the disk, please attach the enclosed update form to the disk. Be sure to fill out all information in legible handwriting and include payment. We will not be able to update any disks without receiving payment.
